CCPR’s campaign to reduce the impact of the Licensing Act 2003 on sports clubs has received significant Parliamentary support.
In response to questions posed by John Whittingdale MP, Chairman of the Culture Media and Sport Committee and Andy Reed MP, Chairman of the Sports Caucus, Ministers acknowledged the concerns of sport, and indicated that the CCPR’s evidence on this issue would be fully considered.
CCPR’s most recent submission to the Independent Licensing Fees Review Panel can be read below:
CCPR Licensing Act Evidence - May 2006 (95 KB)
The last date on which CCPR can submit further evidence is July 7 2006.
You can help by telling them how much your club now pays for a licence.

The CCPR believes that Ministers now understand that sport has real case for reduced fees, but it is important that they supply the Independent Licensing Fees Review Panel with as much evidence as possible to support this case.
