After his omission from the Friends Provident t20 quarter-final, Michael Lumb returns for Hampshire's championship match
Michael Lumb looks set to return to Hampshire’s side for their important LV= County Championship match against Lancashire at the Rose Bowl.
Lumb, a member of England’s World Twenty20-winning side, was not selected for the Friends Provident t20 quarter-final win over Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston.
Michael Bates will make his championship debut, after first-choice wicketkeeper Nic Pothas was ruled out for the rest of the season. Dominic Cork will captain Hampshire, who are third-bottom in Division One.
Lancashire are without opening batsman Stephen Moore, who dislocated his right shoulder in their FP t20 quarter-final defeat at Essex.
