Cork missing against Durham
Lancashire go into their third LV County Championship Division One match of the season still without Dominic Cork who has returned to training but is not yet fully fit to take part.
Gary Keedy has recovered from a thigh injury and takes his place in a 13-man squad,a longside Mark Chilton who has come in for Iain Sutcliffe who has a calf injury.
Mohammed Yousuf is set to make his championship bow for the county, in place of Brad Hodge, while Steven Croft and Kyle Hogg come into the squad at the expense of Simon Marshall.
The match against Durham will be Andrew Flintoff’s last chance to prove his fitness ahead of the first npower Test against New Zealand.
Durham have been out of LV County Championship action for two weeks, after suffering a rain-affected draw against Surrey and will be looking to kickstart their campaign against Lancashire at Old Trafford.
Both Paul Collingwood and Steve Harmison are available for the visitors as they aim to impress the selectors ahead of the squad for the first Test, which is announced on Sunday.
Neil McKenzie and Dale Benkenstein both miss out from the team which played Surrey, as does Graham Onions who is playing for England Lions, with Garry Park, Ben Harmison and Mitchell Claydon coming in to the 12-man squad.
Michael Di Venuto will captain the squad in the absence of Benkenstein, who has gone back to South Africa to be with his pregnant wife. McKenzie is also in South Africa, attending a family wedding but should be back in time for Durham’s next match.
