Seamer Dillon du Preez is pushing for a recall to the Leicestershire side for the LV County Championship game at Northamptonshire after returning from an ankle injury for the Pro40 tie against Essex.
Tom Smith looks set to keep his place after an impressive all-round display against Derbyshire so du Preez will do battle with Garnett Kruger and Nadeem Malik for a bowling berth.
Matthew Boyce, Boeta Dippenaar and Allenby all got useful match-practice during the recent first-class match against Bangladesh A, and contributed signinficantly against Essex which should be enough to keep Tom New out the side.
Leicestershire will be looking for an improvement from the top order after failing to register 200 in the first innings against Worcestershire and Derbyshire in recent Championship games.
Northamptonshire may still be without Johann Louw who has been struggling with injury of late.
Andrew Crook will play no part after being released on the eve of the game.
