Somerset frustrated by rain
Somerset’s hopes of carving out a winning position at the Emirates Durham ICG were dented as the second day of their LV= County Championship match with Durham fell victim to the weather.
The visitors had enjoyed the better of day one, reaching 220 for eight - thanks largely to 62 from Craig Meschede and an unbeaten 60 from Craig Kieswetter - after dismissing Division One’s basement club for just 125.
However, it was decided at 1:15pm that no play would be possible today, Durham therefore suffering their sixth washed-out day of the season.
