Glamorgan must wait for the outcome of medical tests on Michael Powell before finalising their side for the LV County Championship Division Two match against Nottinghamshire at Swansea.
Powell missed Sunday's Friends Provident Trophy match against Hampshire after experiencing extreme discomfort in one of his forearms.
He was taken to hospital to alleviate the pain, which was found to be caused by a small blood clot.
Batsmen Ben Wright and Michael O'Shea are added to the team that lost to Essex in the Welsh side’s last championship match, when the visitors won with just four balls to spare after an enthralling final day's play.
England bowler Simon Jones is not in contention as he continues to struggle with the injury to his left knee which ruled him out of the Essex game.
Fellow seamer Damien Wright is also absent with a thigh injury while all-rounder Ryan Watkins remains doubtful with a lower-back problem.
Leaders Nottinghamshire welcome back AJ Harris for their clash with bottom side Glamorgan.
The seamer has recovered from a bruised heel which had kept him out for several weeks.
Fellow pace bowler Mark Footitt makes way in an otherwise unchanged line-up from last week’s draw with Leicestershire at Oakham School.
Ryan Sidebottom will again be missing from Notts’ side after he kept his England place for the third npower Test against West Indies at Old Trafford.
Spinner Rob Ferley and batsmen Will Jefferson and Samit Patel miss out again as director of cricket Mick Newell opts for continuity in his search for promotion.
