Northamptonshire go in search of their first LV County Championship win of the season when they face Leicestershire at Grace Road.
South African all-rounders Andrew Hall and Johan van der Wath are set to make their first championship appearances of the season for Northants after winning appeals that allow them to participate in county cricket.
In-form left-arm pace bowler David Lucas has also been named in a 12-man squad after he took 4-68 as Northants salvaged a draw with Worcestershire, and followed up with match figures of 7-53 against Cardiff UCCE last week.
Fast bowler David Wigley is dropped, while spinner Monty Panesar has joined up with England for the first Test match of the summer against New Zealand.
England Under-19 captain Alex Wakely scored a century against Cardiff, but there is no place for him after one fifty in three championship outings.
Riki Wessels and Niall O’Brien are both in the squad, with the Irishman named as wicketkeeper.
Jermaine Lawson is recalled to a 13-man Leicestershire squad, with the West Indian fast bowler hoping to improve on his championship debut, when he struggled with 1-92 as his side beat Middlesex.
Leicestershire are in a decent early position in Division Two, with one win and two draws from their opening three matches.
HD Ackerman will be hoping to continue his excellent form this season, which included a knock of 139 as the Foxes beat the Steelbacks in the Friends Provident Trophy on Saturday.
