Hoggard back for Yorkshire

Yorkshire have recalled Matthew Hoggard to their squad ahead of the clash with Hampshire in Division One of the LV County Championship.

The England bowler had been sidelined with a shoulder injury but is fit to make the journey to the Rose Bowl, with Anthony McGrath also back in the side after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Yorkshire will however be without all-rounder Tim Bresnan, who is being rested, although Pakistan seamer Rana Naved is available after featuring in the NatWest Pro40 game on Sunday against Leicestershire following his recovery from a neck problem.

Former England batsman John Crawley is in contention to make his return for Hampshire from the back problem that kept him out of last week’s Championship game with Kent.

Crawley’s inclusion is the only change from the side that drew at Canterbury.
