Kent will be missing Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat for the visit of Worcestershire in Division One of the LV County Championship.
Arafat has joined up with the Pakistan squad in preparation for the World Twenty20 tournament in South Africa and Darren Stevens will also be absent despite making good progress from a groin injury, suffered against Durham at Canterbury.
Ryan McLaren, who claimed a hat-trick in the Twenty20 Cup final against Gloucestershire and has just agreed a new three-year contract, is also included.
Seamer Simon Cook is set to replace Arafat.
Worcestershire will include Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq in their team.
The 27-year-old, who quit international cricket in protest at his omission from Pakistan's squad for the World Twenty20 Championship, has joined the county as a replacement overseas player for the remainder of the season.
Phil Jaques and Doug Bollinger have returned to Australia for their country’s A team tour of Pakistan.
