Kent have named the same team which beat Nottinghamshire in the Twenty20 Cup quarter-final as they prepare to take on Warwickshire in Division One of the LV County Championship at Canterbury.

Having been asked to replay their flooded encounter with Worcestershire, Kent have a game in hand over their rivals but are currently languishing near the bottom of the table.

Opener Joe Denly, who led Kent to Twenty20 glory, returns from his impressive showing for England Lions and will be hoping to continue what is a rich vein of form with the bat.

Captain Robert Key will also be keen to ensure that his team lift themselves further out of the drop zone, with the bowling of overseas pair Andrew Hall and Yasir Arafat likely to be of most importance.

Warwickshire have opted for a very different side to the one which drew with leaders Yorkshire in a rain-affected match at Edgbaston last week.

Jonathan Trott returns to the squad after his spell with England Lions, replacing Ian Bell who is on England duty.

Wicket-keeper Tim Ambrose is also back after the England Lions game, with Michael Barnes giving way.

Alex Loudon and Tim Groenewald come in for Michael Powell and Heath Streak, with Lee Daggett also named in the 12-man squad.

Captain Darren Maddy will be full of confidence after making 135 not out against Yorkshire and will be hoping to lead his third-placed team further up the table.
