Kieswetter comes in
South African wicket-keeper Craig Kieswetter and seamer Mark Turner are set to make championship debuts for Somerset in the LV County Championship Division Two match against Derbyshire.
Turner is a 22-year-old paceman signed on a three-year contract from Durham, where his opportunities were limited.
Since arriving at Taunton, he has played in two one-day games and comes into the squad in place of Steffan Jones, who is rested.
All-rounder Wes Durston replaces Ian Blackwell, who has a minor niggle, while leg-spinner Michael Munday is included in the 12-man squad and waiting to make his home debut.
Derbyshire will keep faith with the side that drew with Essex a fortnight ago.
Simon Katich again captains the team and he is yet to fail for Derbyshire after passing 50 in three innings.
Batsmen Steve Stubbings and Hassan Adnan return after missing the trip to Durham on Sunday in the Friends Provident Trophy.
Derbyshire director of cricket Dave Houghton said: “The one thing we take down to Taunton with us is a bit of confidence because we have outplayed them in our last couple of games down there.
“I don’t think the wicket will have changed so we have to go and play the same brand of cricket that we have done in the recent past.”
