Blackpool rained off

The first day of the LV County Championship match between Lancashire and Surrey at Blackpool’s Stanley Park was abandoned because of wet weather.

Overnight rain left the outfield boggy and umpires Jeremy Lloyds and Nick Cook called play off off at 1pm.

It was the seventh full day's play that Lancashire have lost in the current championship campaign.
