Leicestershire rained off
Leicestershire's LV County Championship Division Two match against Gloucestershire at Grace Road fell victim to the weather with the first day's play abandoned shortly after lunch without a ball being bowled.
Umpires Jeff Evans and Barry Leadbeater needed only a cursory look before deciding there could be no play with the ground once again saturated after heavy overnight and early morning rain.
The pitch was still recovering from Sunday's deluge that had seen the NatWest Pro40 clash with Northamptonshire called off.
With rain sweeping in again overnight, there was little chance the match with Gloucestershire could get started.
But Leicestershire officials were hopeful that with better weather forecast tomorrow there would be a chance of some play.
