Sussex could welcome back leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed for their trip to LV County Championship Division One rivals Lancashire at Old Trafford.
Defending champions Sussex, who sit down in sixth place despite being only 18 points off top spot, will be hoping 38-year-old Mushtaq will be fit after undergoing his second knee operation of the season last month.
Mushtaq has travelled with the squad for their NatWest Pro40 game at Gloucestershire on Tuesday and is likely to be play a part should be come through the game at Cheltenham unscathed.
Lancashire meanwhile have no fresh injury worries as they look to emulate the eight wicket win they achieved at Hove earlier this season.
All-rounder Andrew Flintoff and seamer James Anderson are unavailable due to England duties, however all-rounder Kyle Hogg is pushing for a place after featuring in the recent NatWest Pro40 game against Hampshire.
