Sussex's Rana Naved-ul-Hasan has been named as the Liverpool Victoria County Championship PCA Player of the Month for May.
The Pakistani pace bowler took 27 wickets in three matches, including an 11-wicket haul against Yorkshire.
The 28-year-old edged out Sussex team-mate Mushtaq Ahmed, who captured 22 wickets in the same three matches - the pair have led their county to the top of Liverpool Victoria County Championship Division One.
There was stiff competition from a number of other players for the May Player of the Month award, with bowlers dominating.
Shane Warne of Hampshire and Middlesex paceman Chris Silverwood came close to earning top spot, but it is Naved-ul-Hasan who receives the £750 cheque from Liverpool Victoria.
The best performances in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship are nominated each month by a panel including county PCA representatives plus ex-England bowler Gladstone Small and England chairman of selectors David Graveney.
