Rain thwarts Durham

No play was possible on the third day of Durham's LV County Championship match against Lancashire at Chester-le-Street because of heavy rain.

With 97 overs already lost on the first two days of the Division One clash, two teams desperate for points at opposite ends of the table will be reduced to scrapping for bonus points if play resumes tomorrow with Durham on 280 for three.
