Michael Yardy starred with ball and bat but Sussex could not beat Yorkshire on day four of their LV= County Championship Division One match at Headingley Carnegie.
Opener Jacques Rudolph added only three runs to his overnight score of 86, but 58 from Anthony McGrath helped Yorkshire push on. They declared their second innings on 272 for seven.
Yardy was only given two overs but recorded the best figures of the Sussex bowlers, his 3-15 including the scalps of McGrath, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Tim Bresnan.
He was then equally impressive with the bat, hitting 110 before being bowled by David Wainwright as Sussex chased a target of 281.
The visitors reached 257 for eight at the close.
The weather-affected match at Old Trafford between Somerset and Lancashire also ended in a draw as did Nottinghamshire against Warwickshire.
Resuming on 301 for seven, Somerset posted 343 all out in response to Lancashire's first innings total of 286.
Lancashire were 191 for six at the close. Paul Horton hit 68 and Mal Loye 39. Somerset’s Zander de Bruyn took 3-47.
At Edgbaston, hosts Warwickshire added 35 to their overnight score of 367 for seven before declaring their first innings against Nottinghamshire. Jim Troughton advanced to 73 before being bowled by Charlie Shreck.
Nottinghamshire were 216 for four at tea and reached 376 for six at the close thanks in part to an impressive 147 from Mark Wagh.
In Division Two, Leicestershire declared their first innings on 403 for nine following two washed out days at Grace Road, leaving Tom New stranded on 85.
Visitors Kent cruised to 265 for two before the close with opener Joe Denly unbeaten on 116.
Gloucestershire's match against Derbyshire at Queen's Park also ended in stalemate.
The hosts yesterday declared their first innings on 403 for five.
Derbyshire ended the day 402 for eight. Chris Rogers struck a fine 104 and was ably supported by Garry Park (62) and Daniel Redfern (74).
Responding to Surrey's first innings 368 all out, Glamorgan resumed on 136 for four and were all out for 271 at the SWALEC Stadium.
Captain Jamie Dalrymple top-scored with 72 before becoming one of Jade Dernbach's six victims.
Surrey declared on 82 for three as the game ended in a draw.
The final day at Chelmsford was also a stalemate. Essex, on 79 for two overnight, belatedly resumed their pursuit of a daunting victory target of 415 against Middlesex after rain had delayed the start.
Alastair Cook struck an unbeaten 82 while Steven Finn finished with figures of three for 67 as the hosts closed on 159 for four.
