Gloucestershire retain the same XI that beat Leicestershire by an innings and 151 runs for the visit of Middlesex in Division Two of the LV County Championship.

Skipper Jon Lewis is again away with with England for the NatWest Series against India, so Alex Gidman continues to lead the side.

Kadeer Ali, Hamish Marshall and Craig Spearman all made hundreds against Leicestershire and will be looking to repeat that feat.

Former England seamer Chris Silverwood will have a fitness test on his neck but hopes to return for Middlesex.

Middlesex have named a 13-man squad that includes Daniel Evans and Steve Finn but Sri Lanka all-rounder Chaminda Vass has returned home in preparation for the ICC World Twenty20.

England Test opener Andrew Strauss features once more, although Owais Shah is still involved in the NatWest Series against India.

Also in the squad is Indian spinner Murali Kartik, who has just re-signed for the 2008 season with the county.
