Surrey's James Ormond is missing with a shoulder injury against Somerset

Somerset are set to name an unchanged team for their LV County Championship Division One game against Surrey at Taunton.

Third-placed Somerset were frustrated by the elements in their last championship match as rain forced a draw with leaders Nottinghamshire.

One Somerset player who will not feature for the county again is veteran all-rounder Keith Parson who has announced his retirement from the professional game.

Bottom side Surrey are still looking for their first win following a draw with Yorkshire at Headingley Carnegie in which Mark Ramprakash scored his 100th first-class century.

Young seam bowler Stuart Meaker is on standby after James Ormond picked up a shoulder injury in the NatWest Pro40 game against Derbyshire, and is the only change to the squad which drew with Yorkshire.

Leg-spinner Chris Schofield is set to miss the rest of the season with a hand injury but Mark Butcher is still hopeful of playing again this season following a knee operation.
