Taunton tormented by showers

Heavy rain meant there was no play on the second day of the LV= County Championship Division One match between Somerset and Surrey at Taunton.

Somerset were due to resume on 42 for two in reply to the visitors' 317 all out following Kevin Pietersen’s century yesterday.

But there was never much prospect of any action as the wet weather left puddles on the outfield.
