Somerset stay the same

Somerset have kept faith with the same side which drew with Sussex last week, as they prepare to take on Kent in Division One of the LV County Championship.

Runs were scored all the way down the order as Somerset racked up 557 for eight declared, with Neil Edwards (99) and James Hildreth (158) particularly impressing.

The young pair will be hoping to build on their burgeoning reputations when they travel to Tunbridge Wells tomorrow.

Somerset all-rounder Peter Trego also took four wickets in the match as Sussex were asked to follow on, staking his claim for higher honours.

The 26-year-old has been in excellent form over the past two seasons and will want to continue against Kent's strong batting line-up this week.

Kent have been out of championship action for two weeks, but have made just one change to the team which beat Nottinghamshire by three wickets for their clash with Somerset.

Robert Key comes back to lead the side after captaining England Lions against New Zealand, with Matthew Walker the batsman to miss out.

Kent will be hoping Key will add some runs to the top order which failed to fire against Nottinghamshire.

They were indebted to all-rounders Ryan McLaren and Yasir Arafat who steered their side to victory.

McLaren was also useful with the ball, picking up six wickets in Nottinghamshire's second innings as he starts to make a name for himself as a genuine prospect.
