Langer fit for championship farewell
Captain Justin Langer has been passed fit to make his final LV= County Championship appearance for Somerset against relegated Worcestershire at Taunton.
The 38-year-old, who has recovered sufficiently from an impact injury to play in a four-day game, announced yesterday he would not return from Australia to play next summer.
Young leg-spinner Max Waller comes into contention as Somerset go in search a of maximum-points victory, against winless opponents, which would secure second place in Division One.
Worcestershire are likely to field an unchanged side despite defeat against Hampshire last time out.
That would see Matt Mason take a place in the bowling attack after he missed out in yesterday's NatWest Pro40 defeat to Somerset.
That is the only crumb of comfort for a side missing the likes of Kabir Ali and Simon Jones.
