Shane Warne's world class talent bowled Hampshire to an unlikely LV County Championship Division One win over Durham at the Rose Bowl.
Durham, chasing a target of 254, were bowled out for 203 - giving Hampshire their first win since the opening fixture of the season by 50 runs.
Warne added to the six wickets he got in the first innings by taking another five in the second as the sorry visitors fell away after a promising start to their run chase.
The Australian finished with five for 50 to give him match figures of 11 for 133 as Hampshire made the most of his prodigious efforts.
He was well supported by tall pace bowler Chris Tremlett, who mopped up the late resistance to finish with season's best figures of four for 47.
Warne gambled after the morning session had been washed out by rain by declaring at his side's overnight 309 for nine, leaving Durham two sessions to get the runs they required for their fourth win of the season.
Durham began their quest brightly enough with Will Smith and Michael Di Venuto putting on 83 for the first wicket.
But the loss of first innings century maker Di Venuto undermined Durham soon after he had reached his 50.
The Tasmanian was caught in the gully off Tremlett - and Durham were never the same aggressive force.
Gordon Muchall was Warne's first victim, leg before wicket with the score on 94 but Durham were still in with a strong chance when tea was taken with Smith and Scott Styris at the crease and their side 110 for two -still needing another 143 runs.
But after the break Warne quickly dismissed Smith at 115 to another lbw and then removed Durham captain Dale Benkenstein to a catch in the slips at 123.
Durham were revived with an enterprising stand of 50 between Styris and Phil Mustard, who took the score to 173 and in sight of victory before Stuart Clark came back into the Hampshire attack and removed Mustard to a catch at slip by Warne for 21.
From 173 for four Durham lost their last six wickets for 30 to Warne and Tremlett.
Warne dismissed Ottis Gibson without scoring and then took the crucial wicket of New Zealander Styris for 41, both to lbw decisions.
Durham quickly folded after Styris had gone with Tremlett extracting plenty of lift from the wicket to send back Liam Plunkett, Mark Davis and last man Graham Onions for the addition of only two runs.
