The second successive day of Lancashire's LV County Championship Division One match against Surrey at Blackpool’s Stanley Park was abandoned because of a wet pitch.
Overnight rain left the outfield even wetter than day one and umpires Jeremy Lloyds and Nick Cook abandoned the day shortly after 9am.
The first day of this crucial LV Division One game was also wiped out and the third day is in doubt.
The outfield is a quagmire with particular concerns about the bowlers’ run-ups.
"You can't even walk around the outfield without ruining your shoes and the bottom of your trousers," said Lancashire cricket manager Mike Watkinson.
"It's quite obvious that conditions aren't fit for first-class cricket. It is very, very wet out there."
