Lancashire paceman Sajid Mahmood has signed a contract extension which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2009.
The 25-year-old England international has endured an injury-hit year - undergoing a double hernia operation in June - but managed to claim 30 first-class wickets at an average of 31.83.
Bolton-born Mahmood made his Lancashire debut in 2002 and represented his country for the first time during England A's tour to India and Malaysia in 2003-04.
