Napier tipped for Sixes success

Graham Napier

2008 winner Graham Napier is the bookmakers' favourite to triumph once again in this year's Sky Sports Sixes League

Graham Napier has emerged as the favourite to win the Sky Sports Sixes League, which returns with the Friends Provident Trophy this weekend.

The Essex all-rounder, who claimed last year’s prize after hitting 36 sixes in all domestic one-day competitions, can be backed at 12-1 to retain the trophy.

Somerset’s Marcus Trescothick, Essex all-rounder and last year’s runner-up Ravi Bopara, Sussex’s Luke Wright, Azhar Mahmood of Kent and new Durham signing Ian Blackwell are available at 14-1.

The Sixes League ranks the batsmen who have hit the most sixes in the Friends Provident Trophy, Twenty20 Cup and NatWest Pro40.

Napier and current Friends Provident Trophy holders Essex begin their campaign against Northamptonshire at Chelmsford on Sunday, when six other matches will take place across the country.
