Rain wins at Old Trafford

Tonight's floodlit NatWest Pro40 Division One match between Lancashire and Gloucestershire has been washed out.

After 24 hours of heavy rain at Old Trafford, the contest was abandoned before 3.30pm, even though the rain had eased more than an hour previously.

Despite the efforts of the groundstaff, the sodden outfield was deemed too unsafe to play on.

Spectators can exchange exchange their ticket for another Lancashire NatWest Pro40 or LV County Championship match this season.
