Notts and Somerset square up
LV County Championship Division One leaders Nottinghamshire meet nearest challengers Somerset in a mouth-watering encounter at Trent Bridge tomorrow.
Notts may be boosted by the return of Graeme Swann or Samit Patel from the second day of the match if they are not selected for England in the final game of the NatWest Series tomorrow.
Rob Ferley is omitted in anticipation of Swann’s return but Luke Fletcher and Alex Hales are on standby should the spinner be retained by England.
Stuart Broad, however, will not be available as he is on England duty - and will be rested from all remaining domestic fixtures this year after playing a full international season.
Justin Langer is back to lead Somerset after missing the draw against Hampshire.

Justin Langer knows his leadership qualities will be vital as Somerset take on Notts at Trent Bridge
The former Australia opener heads a squad which inludes Steffan Jones in addition to the XI which played in their last championship match.
Ian Blackwell scored 129 in that fixture and will be eager to continue where he left off, with another notable innings at Trent Bridge.
A win for either team would see them installed as favourites for the championship crown.
