Richard Pybus has left his role as first-team coach at Middlesex with immediate effect.
Pybus, who asked the club to be released from his contract due to personal reasons, has only been in charge since April.
Former England spinner John Emburey, the county’s director of cricket, will take over the former Pakistan coach’s duties at Lord’s.
Pybus, who joined Middlesex from South African side Titans - with whom he won the Provincial Championship, has not been able to inspire the side beyond mid-table in Division Two of the LV County Championship.
The Crusaders were also unable to qualify for the knockout stages of the Friends Provident Trophy or the Twenty20 Cup.
