Chelmsford will host Essex 2nd XI's fixture with Hampshire 2nd XI in the second eleven trophy final on Monday September 1.
Chelmsford was chosen as the venue for the final as regulations state the match should be played at a headquarters ground and the Rose Bowl is not an option as Hampshire have a first XI fixture that day.
Essex beat Leicestershire by eight wickets in yesterday’s semi-final at Grace Road while Hampshire overcame Glamorgan to reach the final.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 11.00am.
