Essex and Lancs meet in Trophy final

Essex Eagles and Lancashire Lightning first-teams meet under lights at Chelmsford, where the Second XI Trophy will be won

Chelmsford will host the Second XI Trophy final between Essex and Lancashire on September 13, the ECB has confirmed.

Both teams, who finished second in their pools in the South and North Groups, earned their respective spots in the final courtesy of semi-final wins over Middlesex at Radlett and Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

Play gets under way at the Ford County Ground at 10.30am, with a reserve day allocated for September 14.

Surrey and Warwickshire meet in the Second XI Championship final at Sir Paul Getty's Ground in Wormsley, Buckinghamshire, from September 7.
