Three of Sussex’s second XI matches have been relocated to Hove after delays to the ground development mean that it is now available for use.
Plans had been put in place which meant that two of the county’s outgrounds belonging to Horsham CC and Stirlands CC were originally nominated to hold the fixtures.
However, with the county’s main ground on Eaton Road not being developed as soon as had been hoped, the matches have been moved to headquarters.
Sussex chief executive Gus Mackay said: “We are delighted that these fixtures will now be played at Hove.
"Second XI cricket is extremely important to us and we are pleased to be able to bring these fixtures to the County Ground for the fans, and more importantly, the players.”
The fixtures concerned are:
July 11: Second XI Trophy v Surrey
Aug 6-8: Second XI Championship v Surrey
Sept 17-19: Second XI Championship v Somerset
