Sussex release trio

Neil Turk

Sussex have confirmed they have released Sean Heather, Tim Linley and Neil Turk.

Cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "In terms of Neil and Sean, because of their age and their perceived lack of future opportunity, the club felt that it was in the best interest of all parties for them to start their lives away from Sussex.

"In their two years’ as professionals at the club both have been outstanding in how they have conducted themselves, always with grit and integrity and great enthusiasm.

"Tim joined us late in a cricketing career, after university, and added to the dressing room atmosphere with his willingness to work hard and help others whenever possible.

"Again due to the form of the people in front of him, opportunities are sparse.

"On behalf of Sussex and myself, I would like to personally thank them for their part in creating a team spirit which has produced a double-winning performance and wish them all the best in their careers in or outside the game."
