Sussex secure contracts
Liverpool Victoria County champions Sussex have offered contract extensions to a clutch of key players as they seek to build on their successful 2006.
Extended deals are available for England National Academy players Matt Prior and Michael Yardy while Murray Goodwin, Robin Martin-Jenkins, Chris Nash and Carl Hopkinson have also been offered to chance to extend their time at the south coast county.
Tom Smith from the Sussex academy is in line for a one-year contract after impressing during 2006.
Sussex coach Mark Robinson said: “We are keen to ensure the club continues to be successful not only next year but for years to come.
“We are looking to settle all negotiations as quickly as we can.
