Essex Eagles will face Kent Spitfires in the first Twenty20 Cup semi-final on finals day at the Rose Bowl on July 26.
The game sees the two Friends Provident Trophy finalists meet ahead of their Lord’s showdown on August 16.
Middlesex Crusaders’ opponents in the second Twenty20 semi are yet to be confirmed, with Durham Dynamos, Nottinghamshire Outlaws, Yorkshire Carnegie and Glamorgan Dragons harbouring hopes of a place in the last four.
Durham’s original quarter-final opponents Yorkshire Carnegie were yesterday excluded from the competition for fielding an ineligible player, Azeem Rafiq, against Nottinghamshire in theif inal group game, although they have until 5pm today to appeal against the decision.
The first semi-final will at 11.30am and finish at 2.15pm; the second semi-final will take place from 3pm–5.45pm and the final is scheduled for 7.15pm–10pm.
All three matches will be broadcast live by Sky Sports with ball-by-ball commentary on Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and extensive coverage on talkSPORT.
