The countdown to the 2007 cricket season is now in full swing and interest is building rapidly in Leicestershire Foxes' defence of the Twenty20 Cup.
Season tickets and match tickets have gone on sale for the high point of the summer when the Foxes play their four Twenty20 Cup Northern group matches at Grace Road.
To heighten interest in Twenty20 season tickets, they have a special offer courtesy of ground sponsors Everards which adds even greater value to the package.
The Leicester-based brewery are backing Leicestershire's Twenty20 campaign by giving away a free T-shirt and vouchers for two pints of Tiger Best Bitter with each purchase.
"We are aiming to make our Twenty20 matches the hot ticket this summer and we have some fabulous offers to drive ticket sales," commented chief executive Paul Maylard-Mason.
"There are significant savings to be made by purchasing a Twenty20 season ticket or indeed match tickets in advance, while we also have this added incentive from Everards for season tickets.
"When you consider that an adult Twenty20 season ticket is just £30, it does represent excellent value for money when you add on the T-shirt and the beer vouchers to the four games of cricket."
He added: "There has already been a lot of interest shown in sponsorship and hospitality for these matches, and we now expect that to be reflected in the demand for season tickets and indeed match tickets over the next few weeks as we build up to the new cricket season.
“Purchasing in advance - whether it is season Tickets or match tickets - is very much the key message to match goers and it offers significant savings as well as guaranteeing admission to the games.
"It is worth noting that there were a good many people who missed out on our quarter-final against Kent Spitfires last summer, which was sold out."
Bookings for Twenty20 season tickets and match tickets - as well as tickets for other games at Grace Road during the 2007 season - can be made online at Leicestershire CCC or by contacting 0871 282 1879.
