Love Island adds to Twenty20 thrill
Last year Worcestershire played host to speed-daters who were looking for love in a hurry against a back-drop of fast and furious Twenty20 action and the romantic theme continues into 2005.
July 2 sees Gloucestershire Gladiators challenge the Royals in a bid to move past the regional stages of the Twenty20 Cup, and while the wickets may tumble around them, one couple will be building a more long-term partnership.
Gaye Hodge and Gavin Wood will cement their 10-year relationship when they tie the knot in Malvern before heading to their reception at the County Ground.
They, along with family and friends, plan to start their honeymoon early as they watch the on-field excitement from New Road’s very own ‘Love Island’ – a tropical beach on the boundary!
