TwelfthMan: My account

Marcus Trescothick's unbeaten 69 propelled Somerset to a thumping victory over a woeful Glamorgan side
Somerset christened their new £1.8million pavilion at Taunton with a 10-wicket thrashing of Glamorgan to make it three wins from four Twenty20 Cup group games.
Put in to bat by Justin Langer, the Dragons managed only 128 for seven in glorious sunshine, captain Jamie Dalrymple top-scoring with 56 off 50 balls, including eight fours.
That looked 50 short of a competitive total, and the Sabres cruised to their target with more than five overs to spare of the Midlands/West/Wales group match.
Marcus Trescothick hit 69 not out and Craig Kieswetter an unbeaten 57, with neither offering a chance.
The two openers gave home supporters something to cheer in a low-key game. Trescothick reached his half-century off 40 balls, with a six and seven fours, while Kieswetter brought up the century stand with four, six, six, six off successive balls from Robert Croft, reaching his 50 in the same over off just 38 balls.
It was the first time the new three-storey pavilion at the County Ground had been used, and a 5,000-strong crowd watched the players appear from square of the wicket, rather than the River End.
Dalrymple began the match by playing out a maiden from Charl Willoughby and the Dragons were on the back foot from the start. At the end of the six-over fielding restrictions they had scored only 32, well below par at Taunton.
Willoughby bowled his four overs straight off from the Old Pavilion End and conceded just 16 runs as well as taking the wicket of Mark Cosgrove, bowled for 10.
Ryan Watkins contributed 16 to a second-wicket stand of 41 before committing himself to a suicidal second run after Dalrymple had played the ball to long-off. Max Waller’s throw easily beat Watkins at the non-striker’s end.
Ben Wright helped Dalrymple add a further 41, but Glamorgan’s run-rate was poor.
Dalrymple was caught at long-on by Peter Trego off Arul Suppiah, who had replaced Alfonso Thomas after the seamer was ordered out of the attack by umpire Jeremy Lloyds for bowling two full-tosses above waist height in his first over.
The remaining batsmen had to go for broke and Zander de Bruyn struck with successive deliveries to send back Wright and Mark Wallace. Alex Wharf and Robert Croft perished to big shots in a miserable Glamorgan batting effort.
