Michael Vaughan has added the role of business development manager with ISM to his Test Match Special commitments
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has agreed to take a development position with International Sports Management, the company which represents Andrew Flintoff.
Vaughan, who retired as a player this summer, has signed up as a commentator for BBC’s Test Match Special this winter and his new role as business development manager with ISM continues his move into off-field interests.
While Vaughan’s job involves a business element, he will also work with the company’s cricketing clients - including Ashes-winning seamer Graham Onions and Somerset’s South Africa-born wicketkeeper-batsman Craig Kieswetter.
Andrew Chandler, ISM’s managing director, said: “We’ve had a relationship going back to 2001. We know Michael well and I’ve always thought he had great potential in the business world. This is the next logical step for him.”
Vaughan played 82 Tests for England - 51 as skipper - scoring 5,719 runs at an average of 41.44.
