Worcs extend Davies contract
Worcestershire have agreed a deal to keep highly-rated wicketkeeper Steven Davies at the county until the end of the 2009 season.
Davies, 21, has been touted as a future England gloveman and has already represented his country at Under-19 and A level.
Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: "We are delighted that Steven has agreed to this contract extension. He is one of our most talented young players and we want to secure his future with us.
“He is a born and bred Worcestershire lad and has secured a regular place in the first team and is pushing hard for full international honours."
