Clydesdale Bank 40 groups revealed
Reigning champions Warwickshire have been drawn alongside Hampshire, Durham, Northamptonshire, Surrey, Leicestershire and Scotland in next year’s Clydesdale Bank 40.
The Bears, who beat Somerset under the floodlights at Lord’s to take this year’s title, landed a place in Group B during this afternoon’s draw.
The Netherlands, Scotland and the Unicorns - a team of players without first-class contracts - were allocated berths in Group A, B and C respectively.
Teams will play every other side in their group home and away. The winners of each group and the runners-up with the highest points total will qualify for the semi-finals.
Fixtures will be confirmed in due course - along with the rest of the 2011 domestic season - although ECB head of cricket operations Alan Fordham revealed that the CB40 final will take place at Lord’s on September 17.
