Uxbridge falls victim to the weather
Umpires Jeremy Lloyds and Martin Bodenham called off the Clydesdale Bank 40 game between Middlesex and Leicestershire at Uxbridge an hour before the scheduled start of 1:45pm.
The outfield was still saturated from heavy rain yesterday and overnight, leaving the officials with no alternative but to call off the match early.
Both sides take one point each from the no result - taking Middlesex, second place in Group A, to a total of eight points from seven games, three behind leaders the Netherlands.
Leicestershire, however, with six points now from eight matches, remain second from bottom in the table and are already out of the running for a semi-final place.
