Rafiq in line for Derbyshire bow
Off-spinner Azeem Rafiq could make his Derbyshire debut in today's Clydesdale Bank 40 Group A game at home to the Netherlands.
The former England Under-19 captain joined on a one-month loan on Friday and the 20-year-old could be given his first competitive start of the season against the Dutch, who yesterday shocked Yorkshire, his home county.
Australia batsman Usman Khawaja is set to make his limited-overs bow for Derbyshire.
Leicestershire may again be without opener Will Jefferson for the visit of Scotland to Grace Road in Group B.
Jefferson, who suffered a thigh injury in the LV= County Championship defeat to Derbyshire just over a week ago, missed yesterday’s CB40 loss to Northamptonshire.
Should Jefferson be ruled out, Paul Nixon and Jacques Du Toit would again likely form the opening partnership.
All-rounder Wayne White, recently recovered from a side problem, is set to feature again after he came through yesterday’s game.
