Rain dampens Durham prospects
Durham’s faint hopes of reaching the Clydesdale Bank 40 semi-finals were dealt a blow by a washout with Scotland at Uddingston on the outskirts of Glasgow.
The point gained for each side surely leaves Durham too far adrift of the Group B pace-setters to have a realistic chance of progressing after their last four games.
Bottom side Scotland, who cannot qualify, have one CB40 match left this year - with Somerset at the same venue in a fortnight.
Durham next play in this competition on Saturday at home to holders Surrey, whom they also host in the LV= County Championship from Tuesday.
