Scotland name 2012 CB40 venues
Scotland will play their 2012 Clydesdale Bank 40 home group games at the Grange in Edinburgh and Uddingston on the outskirts of Glasgow.
The Grange, Scotland’s main venue, will host four matches – against Surrey, Nottinghamshire, Durham and Somerset – and Uddingston two – versus the Welsh Dragons and Hampshire.
Scotland first played at Uddingston in 2000, against Denmark, after Clydesdale’s ground had been deemed unplayable due to a wet pitch. It also hosted Scotland’s fixture with West Indies a week later.
Former Scotland opening bowler Paul Hoffman, now groundsman at Uddingston, said: "It's wonderful news for Uddingston Cricket Club and the surrounding community.
“Since I took over the groundsman duties here I have always been motivated by the possibility of hosting Scotland games and producing the best surface I possibly can for a great game of cricket. I am already really looking forward to it. Fingers crossed for good weather.”
