Silverwood joins Middlesex

Chris Silverwood has joined Middlesex

Yorkshire have released fast bowler Chris Silverwood from his playing contract by mutual consent and he has now joined Middlesex on a two-year-contract.

Silverwood has been a Yorkshire regular and integral part of the pace attack since 1996, however a number of injuries have plagued him recently, depriving him of first team cricket.

The club has expressed thanks to Silverwood for his significant contributions throughout his time at the county and wish him well for the future.

Silverwood joined Middlesex on their pre-season tour of India and will be based in the south of England.
