Cricket Scotland has revealed the Grange in Edinburgh will be the venue for their one-day international against England next summer.

The Stockbridge ground has been the main home of Scotland’s national side for the last 15 years, hosting 10 one-day internationals.

England have already played there on two occasions, in 2008 and 2010, and will return on August 12 2012.

Cricket Scotland chief executive Roddy Smith said: "We are delighted that we can host this game, which will be the highlight of the 2012 season, at the Citylets Grange.

“The playing facility is excellent, as was shown when the Scotland team chased down 320 to beat Ireland last year. Our plans for the match are already well under way."

Grange club secretary Gordon Tolland added: “It’s always a privilege for the Grange to host a match like this. Scotland is making great progress, and watching the team in action against one of the best cricket sides in the world promises to be a fantastic day.”

Ticketing arrangements for the match are set to be announced within the next couple of weeks.
