Youngsters ready for Army regime

The World Cup may be three years away, but England Under-19s are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.

Fourteen players expected to form the basis of the Under-19 side in the 2012 tournament will be put their paces this weekend when they undergo military training in Yorkshire.

Designed to test their fitness, motivation and decision-making skills, the two-day course will see the players take part in a gruelling obstacle course as well as tactical combat scenarios at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate.
