England at ICC World Twenty20 South Africa 2007

England are drawn alongside Australia and Zimbabwe in Group B of the inaugural ICC World Twenty20, which takes place in South Africa from September 11-24.

The 12 participating nations are split into four groups comprising three teams to play in a round-robin format.

The tournament then heads into the Super Eight phase, with the top four positioned teams proceeding to the semi-finals. The final will be played in Johannesburg on Monday 24.

Group A: (A1) South Africa, (A2) West Indies, Bangladesh
Group B: (B1) Australia, (B2) England, Zimbabwe
Group C: (C1) New Zealand, (C2) Sri Lanka, Kenya
Group D: (D1) Pakistan, (D2) India, Scotland

Team names for the Super Eight stage are indicative based on the top two teams from the Group Stage qualifying. If these two teams do qualify they will be seeded in position 1 and 2 as specified regardless of whether they finish first or second in their group.
