Injury forces Sidebottom out of Tests
England fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom is to fly home from the tour of Bangladesh due to a thigh injury.
The 32-year-old Nottinghamshire left-armer will be replaced in the Test squad by Tim Bresnan, England team director Andy Flower has confirmed.
Unlike Stuart Broad, troubled by a back injury, Sidebottom took part in today’s practice session but was not deemed fit to continue on tour.
Sidebottom suffered the injury in Sunday's first one-day international against Bangladesh in Mirpur, causing him to miss England's second victory on Tuesday.
In addition to Bresnan, England have called up Middlesex’s Steven Finn to Bangladesh as cover for the fast bowling unit.
Finn, 20, will not be involved tomorrow but will link up with the rest of the squad ahead of the first Test on March 12.
Meanwhile, Graham Onions, a member of the Test party but not the one-day squad, will, along with Broad, have an MRI scan tomorrow on a back problem.
England play the final one-day international in Chittagong tomorrow, before beginning a three-day warm-up match at the same Jahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium two days later.
